Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum
Precious Relics of the Ming and Qing Imperial Kilns, the Root of China’s Ceramic Heritage
The Imperial Kiln Museum is located within the Imperial Kiln archaeological site in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, and was designed by Zhu Pei, Dean of the School of Architecture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Its collection includes many unique and irreplaceable treasures, such as the Yuan blue-and-white five-clawed dragon Go jar and the large Ming Hongwu underglaze-red bowl with white lotus scroll patterns, both regarded as signature masterpieces of the museum. The museum is not only a treasure house of art, but also an important place for understanding the history of Chinese ceramics.

Anchang Ancient Town
Rich with the aroma of soy sauce, home to the charm of a waterside town.
Anchang is a thousand-year-old ancient town where you can see the mountains, behold the waters, and hold on to a sense of nostalgia. Unlike Wuzhen or Zhouzhuang, Anchang Ancient Town is best known for its original ecology, native residents, and authentic way of life. Since its development began in 1999, the town has restored a large number of traditional-style buildings and made use of old residential compounds to create attractions such as the City God Temple, the Shiye Museum, the Folk Customs Museum, Suikang Bank, the former Bank of China site, the Stone Carving Museum, the Xuanjuan Museum, and Ankang Temple. Yet tourism development has in no way disturbed its original character—residents along both banks of the river continue to live as they have for generations.
